Colony COLONY is a Fortran program written by Jinliang Wang to implement a maximum likelihood method that assigns individuals in a sample into full-sib families nested within half-sib families (colonies) using data on co-dominant genetic markers. It can be used in estimating full- and half-sib relationships, inferring mating system (polygamous/monogamous) and reproductive skew in both diploid and haplo-diploid species.
