Dept. of Fish & Game who conduct quarterly cruises off California. Established in 1949, this time-series monitors the physics, chemistry, biology, and meteorology of the California Current ecosystem. Long term time-series, such as the CalCOFI and SIO Shore Station programs, provide a foundation for scientists to measure climatological changes. CalCOFI hydrographic & plankton data are distributed to the community for use without restriction.
