Type specimens of Birds in The Natural History Museum (London) This website reproduces in electronic form the catalogue data on bird type specimens in the collections of the Natural History Museum, originally published in two volumes (both now out of print). This web version includes additions and corrections which had come to light by June 2001. The catalogue includes holotypes, syntypes, lectotypes and neotypes. It should be noted, however, that although all members of a syntype series have equal status, only one member of each has been listed regardless of how many may be in the NHM collections
UCMP Vertebrate Type Catalog and Collection Information contains information on type specimens and illustrated specimens housed in the University of California Museum of Paleontology. It is a large database including approximately 7,800 types and published specimens (including casts).
UCMP and other museum catalogs UCMP Berkeley's compilation of on-line collection catalogs of interest to natural historians
