OECD International Development (Debt and Aid) Statistics, 1975-2006
Published annually by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's (OECD) Development Assistance Committee (DAC), the International Development (Debt and Aid) Statistics provide up-to-date comparative statistics and information on international development from 1975 onwards, presented in the following key tables: External Debt Statistics (discontinued as of 2004) This database has been discontinued as of 2004. The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) External Debt Statistics 1998-2002 table provides detailed data for long- and short-term debt stocks and service. Data are available for major country groups, individual countries, and territories. Geographical Distribution of Financial Flows to Aid Recipients Provides comprehensive data on the volume, origin and types of aid and other resource flows to aid recipients of the Part I and Part II of the DAC List of aid recipients.DAC bilateral flow figures are drawn from Member countries replies to questionnaires issued by the OECD Secretariat. Data cover 1960 onwards. Amounts are in millions of USD. Sectoral Distribution of Bilateral ODA Commitments by Purpose The sectoral distribution of bilateral ODA and OA commitments refers to the economic sector of destination (i.e. the specific area of the recipient's economic or social structure whose development is, or is intended to be fostered by the aid), rather than to the type of goods or services provided. These are aggregates of individual projects notified under the Creditor Reporting System, supplemented by reporting on the sectoral distribution of technical co-operation, and on actual disbursements of food and emergency aid. Data are available from 1973 onwards. Amounts are in US dollar million. Deflators for Resource Flows from DAC Members This table contains deflators for resource flows for individual DAC Members from 1966 onwards as well as the TOTAL DAC deflator, and the deflator for the EURO. The base year is 2000. The deflators include the effect of exchange rate changes, and are therefore only applicable to US dollar figures. The OECD applies the total DAC deflator to individual recipient countries and multilateral donors to calculate their receipts or flows in constant prices.
