The American Folklife Center (AFC) incorporates and houses the ethnographic collections of the Library of Congress's Archive of Folk Culture. The Center's web site provides information about its services and resources, along with board and staff-contact information. The collections, many of which are included in the Library's American Memory series, feature numerous full-text documents, publications, audio and video files, and other educational materials related to US folk/ethnic history and culture.

The web site of the Schoenberg Center for Electronic Text & Image (SCETI) provides online access to digital copies of original texts, documents, and other source materials, created from the special collections of rare books and manuscripts at the University of Pennsylvania (Penn) Library.

This searchable web archive contains or links to 441 works by more than 59 classical authors. The majority of the authors are Greek and Roman, but a few Persian and Chinese authors are included. Many functions including text search, reader comments, and links to author information and additional web resources have been unavailable for some time.

Project Gutenberg aims to make public domain literature and references available online for free in a format accessible to most computers. This project has made more than 28,000 texts available online in more than 35 languages. This site also contains general information about the project, how to access the materials, news, newsletters, articles, and volunteer opportunities. A list of similar and affiliated projects is also posted aalong with links to software and tools.

The home page of the American Comparative Literature Association (ACLA) offers information on organizational structure, meetings, awards, and membership. The ACLA site features an international directory of comparatists, a directory of programs and departments of comparative literature, and a listing of major journals in the field. ACLA also provides links to associated organizations and research resources, and supports an e-mail discussion list for graduate students.

The home page of the Modern Language Association provides information on organizational structure, membership, meetings, job openings, awards, and publications. At this site, the MLA posts submission guidelines as well as subscription and advertising information for its journal, PMLA. This site also links to the home pages of the Association of Departments of English and the Association of Departments of Foreign Languages.
