We present a detailed palaeoclimate analysis of the Middle Miocene (uppermost Badenian-lowermost Sarmatian) Schrotzburg locality in S Germany, based on the fossil macro- and micro-flora, using four different methods for the estimation of palaeoclimate parameters: the coexistence approach (CA), leaf margin analysis (LMA), the Climate-Leaf Analysis Multivariate Program (CLAMP), as well as a recently developed multivariate leaf physiognomic approach based on an European calibration dataset (ELPA).

In connection with the excavation of an early Iran Age settlement on the Neuenhagener Oderinsel (Niederes Oderbruch), a hIgh-resolution pollen diagram has been created wich covers the Late Neolthic through the Medieval periods. The diagram shows clearly, in addition to partly natural change in the development of the forest, the influence of man on the vegetation. Three prehistoric settlement phases can be recognised (Late Neolithic, Late Bronze Age/pre-Roman Iron Age, Roman Iran Age), for which pollen-analytic evidence provides proof of farming and stock breeding.

This study contains data on 652 indigenous peoples in Australia, Asia, Indonesia, Oceania, Africa, and North and South America. For each people, data are provided for name, geographic region, character of wars fought such as defensive, social, economic, or political war, climate, habitat, sub-race classification such as pygmies, australoid, negroid, hamitoid, red, yellow, brown, or white, culture, sub-culture, political and social organizations, and intercultural relations.

The Reports of the American Indian Family History Project was a study aimed at examining demographic trends among Native Americans families during the late 1800s and early 1900s utilizing census data, collected by the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) and the Census Bureau. Specifically, this study observed the behavior of Native American families from the Colville, Creek, Crow, Hopi, and White Earth Chippewa tribes at the time of the 1885, 1900, 1910, and 1930 censuses, although data were not available for all tribes in all years.

The anthropoligists Charles and Brenda Seligman were two of the leading anthropologists in Britain during the first half of the twentieth century. They observed and wrote about communities in Sri Lanka, Sudan, Egypt, China and Japan. Whilst working in Sri Lanka, Brenda Seligman was able to observe rites and ceremonies among women to which men would not have been allowed access. Charles Seligman tended to concentrate on physical anthropology and material culture. They shared an interest in magic and religion, and, later, in psychology and its contributions to anthropology.
