The primary purpose of the School Crime Supplement (SCS) is to obtain additional information about school-related victimizations so that policymakers, academic researchers, practitioners at the federal, state and local levels, and special interest groups who are concerned with crime in schools can make informed decisions concerning policies and programs.

The Simmons Longitudinal Study (SLS) is a community-based study that has prospectively traced the life course of a single-aged cohort from childhood (age 5) to adulthood (age 26). Data were collected from multiple informants at seven major time points: age 5 (1977), age 6 (1978), age 9 (1980-1981), age 15 (1987), age 18 (1990), age 21 (1993-1994), and age 26 (1998).

This data collection is comprised of responses from two sets of survey questionnaires, the basic Current Population Survey (CPS) and a biennial survey on the topic of Veterans in the United States, which was administered as a supplement to the August CPS questionnaire.The CPS, administered monthly, is a labor force survey providing current estimates of the economic status and activities of the population of the United States.

The Gateways and Pathways Project (GAPP) extended the Youth Services Project (YSP) by examining the characteristics, training, resource connectivity, views, treatment, and referral practices of those service providers who were named by the YSP youths as having helped them. The GAPP study collected data from the youths' providers. The GAPP includes surveys of youth providers and the administrators of organizations which employ these providers.

This study is designed to contribute to community understanding of the attitudes and behaviors of United States college and university librarians. This 2006 study builds upon studies that targeted United States faculty members in 2000 and 2003, and complements a similar study of United States faculty members that was conducted in 2006. Topics covered by this study include: the role of the library on the modern campus, impressions about electronic resources, digital institutional repositories, and the preservation of scholarly journals.

This study was conducted in order to contribute to community understanding of the attitudes and behaviors of higher education faculty members regarding online resources, the library, and related topics. This study, from 2006, builds upon similar studies performed in 2000 (by JSTOR) and 2003 (by Ithaka), and may be compared with data on many of the same topics gathered from librarians in 2006.

IIMMLA was supported by the Russell Sage Foundation. Since 1991, the Russell Sage Foundation has funded a program of research aimed at assessing how well the young adult offspring of recent immigrants are faring as they move through American schools and into the labor market. Two previous major studies have begun to tell us about the paths to incorporation of the children of contemporary immigrants: The Children of Immigrants Longitudinal Study (CILS), and the Immigrant Second Generation in New York study.

The India Human Development Survey 2005 (IHDS) is a nationally representative, multi-topic survey of 41,554 households in 1,503 villages and 971 urban neighborhoods across India. Two one-hour interviews in each household covered topics concerning health, education, employment, economic status, marriage, fertility, gender relations, and social capital. Children aged 8-11 completed short reading, writing and arithmetic tests. Additional village, school, and medical facility interviews are also available.
